Raids/Invades: A Guide
Ok firstly, its not as simple as you might think. As you know, a lot of kages like to use ascension, gained by completing the tsukiyomi ascendant quest at the end of monochrome. Since this can be completed in Season 2, upon looping, the ascension theme is received.
Ascension: If you are Village Leader, you cannot Attack or Spy, and Ninjas attempting to attack your Village automatically fail unless you are Bingo'd and that Ninja Bingo'd you in the past hour
Always assume EVERY kage in season 3 or above has this theme switched on at all times! This can save you a 24 hour bingo!
So, what to do about it? Well, the obvious answer is to bingo them, and of course, thats correct! Now I hear you saying "simple! Note Page them" and that is most likely going to make you fail almost before you even reach the village walls! 9 out of 10 kage prefer the taste of note protection, either by way of the theme 'My Name Is' which gives note immunity, or the more popular method, via tools of the trade, which anyone thats at least reached the trade level one, will have seen the black box in the village menu. This means note bingo's on kages is not really advised!
How do you bingo them then? Ok, theres plenty of allies out there all that can be used for bingoing, the more useful ones from completing various stages of the trade and from wasteland (im going to state doughman in here and technically, yes, he is/was a wasteland ally pre-recode).
My preferred line up on kage bingo's is as follows
Doughman (Most kages use seasons dont fear), Bones, (so villages dont provide hp) and Right (lvl 1/2, for extra damage)
This set up, for me, is usually a solid attacking force as im limiting the amount of hp the enemy kage can have and inflicting the most ally damage just from my team alone.
Other things to consider:
- Risky Badge, from the arena, sometimes do double damage in bingos, worth it every time, if you pull off a double damage shot that kill the kage, perfect, saves extra rounds of worrying wether youll make it or not!
- Completing Tsukiyomi Ascendant as a Whiteye. This gives you Loyal Sacrifice when at full moon, meaning any bingo attempt you fail, doesnt bingo you, this has saved my life more times than I care to think about!
- Bingoing as a Redeye Ninja. This can get you the bingo jutsu, Archer Style: Fire and Flames, which when used in a bingo, means on that round, the bingo opponent scores 0 hits on you. Again, pull this off twice and most kage are dead!
- Obtaining Mr. Sandman level 2. This allows you to learn the Sand Coffin Jutsu, which deals +100 damage to village leaders, this can be priceless if the kage's hp is less than 100 or you can make up the levels from your stats.
- The Dartboard. Gives +3 levels when bingoing, every little helps!
- Wasteland Pistols: Makeshift Pistol (+2 levels on bingos), Average Pistol (+3 levels on bingos) and Wasteland Pistol (+4 levels on bingos)
Other things to think about which play quite a major role in bingos are things such as "Is the kage using a wasteland ally?" Well, youll never know until you start the bingo. After all the above preperation, getting yourself ready to tear the enemy kage a new one and finding they have a wasteland ally (A wasetland ally is a special bloodline related ally thats received on completion of the Eye of The Storm quest) is rather infuriating at the best of times, I mean, its a wasted 50 stamina! Now, the best combat against this is probably to have either previously stated Loyal Sacrifice, OR Eclipsed, which is only available season 5 at the earliest, so most of you dont need to worry about that right now. This lets you get away unscathed to come back with the appropriate ally.
The Wasteland Allies are as follows:
Rayne - Requires J-Diddy on his own to beat
Touchy - Requires Emo (any level) on his own to beat
Grandmaster P - Requires Pinky (any level) on her own to beat
Going up against a wasteland ally isnt too much more difficult than using any other team combination, however, you wont have the same bonuses working in your favour, so expect the enemies HP to go up significantly.
Another ally to watch out for is Mister Tea level 3, if the enemy kage has him in their team, you may need to bingo them again as they always show as bingoed to the trade (Thanks Erideth! ^_^)
I bet youre thinking, "I hope this is the end?" Almost. So, youve bingoed the enemy kage. You think this is always going to be enough? Sometimes, but a lot of kage you run into use 'Reversing Hourglasses' which are a potion you take that means the next successful bingo against you, doesnt count and you carry on like nothings happened! The best way to check this is by having a supply of juicy apples handy, obtained via Hyuk. After bingoing an enemy kage, go back to the village list and use 2 juicy apples to view the lifelines of the villagers. If the kage has a strikethrough his name, then its plain sailing, raid/invade you way to victory. If not, then youll have to bingo him again. Yes, this sucks, and 2 villages in 2 days have had kages that have caught me out on this as Im too lazy to farm some apples to check. Dont let your laziness equal fail!
Now bingoing is out of the way, next is the raiding/invading. A very simple affair really, go into attack, pick a village and BOOM! HEADSHOT! Raids are a dual-stat check, which is pretty simple based on your stats. These will net you 1% of that villages total ryo, so the best targets are those with over 1 million ryo in the bank (The A-Team is always a good choice here if you have finished monochrome and sided with Mister Tea, as that team set-up adds +3 strength when attacking villages and takes double ryo). Invasions are a little different. They have to be set by the village leader or any of the co-kages, then, theres a 4 hour waiting period to prepare for the invasion, and the invasion itself is a tri-stat check, not really any more difficult than a raid really in terms of difficulty, but the rewards are much better, netting enemy resources from their stores.
Good Items to have include:
- Any Permanent Items that give extra range - this means anything!
- Regalia - Adds +1 to range and strength and allows 2 village attacks per day.
- Scythe Of Razing - A wasteland Item available to Season 3+, crafted using runes, gives +2 strength on village attacks
- Ashen War Paint - Gives +10 range on the next village attack
- Troll Account - A monster drop that adds +5 range on village attacks
- Codec - From the Party Wheel - Adds +3 range when attacking villages
- Firebrand - A monster drop that gives you +20 stamina on completion of a successful village attack
- Claymore - Gives a 1 in 3 chance of taking an enemies adv resource that has none (along with what you already take)
After youve pulled of a successful raid/invasion, THEN and only then can you sit back and say "aaahhhh, my work here is done".
Yes that was a lot of typing, and yes, its a lot to take in, but its all vital when thinking about taking on other villages and now you know what I have to put up with day after day, saving my stamina til ive pulled off 2 invasions, in case there are any bingoing hiccups. But its worth it, without being able to do all that and memorise the little details, I dont think we would have got as far as we have!
AND ONE LAST PIECE OF MAJOR ADVICE THAT YOU MUST ALL STICK TO!!!!! LEAVE THE IMMORTAL REALMS ALONE, THESE ARE NOTICABLE BY THE RED FLAME HEADBANDS!!!! LETS NOT DRAW TOO MUCH ATTENTION TO OURSELVES PLUS THEY ARE AT LEAST TWICE AS DIFFICULT!!!!!!!!
Okay then, I guess I can't attack that one village then, what was it called? Spirit Fox or something. : P
I went to all the trouble to bingo the kage from a village that I saw had a lot of ryo, then once I was sure he was bingo'd I went to the attack village screen and it turned out I couldn't even actually attack that village. Oh well, you live and learn. I just assumed that all the villages on the spy report page were the ones we could attack, now I know better.
villages on the spy report are only there at the time I click 'get spy report' any time between I do it the 2nd time in a day, usually after the 1st invasion. If anything happens to them inbetween, like the spy gets caught, or someone else raids them, it wont show up until the next spy report! :o)
You know what's really fun? Going through the whole bingo thing, only to find out that you need 45 range to have even a hope of succeding. D :
I find this annoying sometimes, but only if the successes are high, since my attacking range is 45, it only bothers me if the successes are more than say, about 15! :o)
I love how it says any three, like there's a fourth option there.
turns out they had ascension still on after bingoing them twice.....
I know cos I passed the invasion, would have said id have failed otherwise!
Doesnt happen often which means they must have been online and cured the 2nd bingo in the time between the 2nd bingo and going to attack screen.......
Those bastards.....
Maybe it was the time you took to take the screen shot : P
Maybe it was the time you took to take the screen shot : P

this
At least someone appreciates what I say : D lol
actually a screen shot takes less than a second. All you have to do is hit one button. It saves the page and you can come back to it later as long as you don't save a new screen shot.
you just dont get it *shakes head*
neither do I, but no I took the screenshot just after setting the invasion and it didnt take 4 hours to save it and host it on here....
